#57: Pose like Rocky in Front of the Art Museum

Visiting the city of Brotherly Love (and the city I grew up in) I decided to get some items checked off the bucket list that should have been accomplished a long time ago. It’s funny when you grow up in a place you take it for granted and never appreciate what surrounds you. My husband and I both came to despise Philadelphia after years of living/working there, maybe it was the smog, the people or perpetual rain. But we never appreciated what it had to offer. Viva Las Vegas

I have never been Vegas’ biggest fan…let me rephrase that I have never been a fan of Vegas at all. I’m not a gambler, I’m not a clubber and I don’t really appreciate shows like Cirque d’Soleil.  That leaves some premium restaurants and an In-N-Out Burger, both of which I highly appreciate. So heading off to Las Vegas for the Memorial Day weekend is neither something I would choose to do or cross off my bucket list. My Five Places to Visit in 2011

Fortunately or unfortunately we are buying a house this year.  I say fortunately because if I have to rent a place that I can’t make ‘my own’ again I might go insane.  I say unfortunately because the down payment will limit our travel budget for 2011.  I had high hopes of Europe, Peru, Calif0rnia, and Aspen (of course) a few times.  But with limited expenses, I need to narrow that list a bit and maybe focus on some less lofty destinations closer to home.
